Agrichemicals are defined in NZS 8409 as plant protection products (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides), veterinary medicines, and agricultural use of detergents and sanitizers.

Knowing how agrichemicals and additives work helps you understand the risks associated with them. For example, a product designed to penetrate the waxy cuticle of a leaf is likely to be more easily absorbed through human skin.
