We've put together a list of agrichemicals with Acute toxicity category 1 or 2 classifications (HSNO class 6.1A or B).  These are the products that must be under the control of a certified handler and must be tracked.

Online learning - Preparation for Certified Handler

We've put together an online course which will take you through the key requirements for certified handler.  At the end of the course, you will be ready to make an application to a compliance certifier. There is no charge for this course at present. You could also look at other online learning, such as the Standard: Online Renewal course to remind you of some of the basics such as hazard classifications.

You can find contact details for all WorkSafe registered Compliance Certifiers. Be sure to filter for agrichemicals. You can also find someone to do your location compliance certificate here if you store large quantities of hazardous substances. Alternatively, there are a number of Growsafe trainers who are also compliance certifiers.

WorkSafe is responsible for setting the rules for the use of hazardous substances in the workplace.  On their website, you can find information on the requirements to track some highly hazardous substances as well as information on whether a Certified Handler is required for agrichemical application; and the requirements for Certified Handlers to be available when others are using pesticides under their supervision
